Ways to Prevent Scratches on the Floor
2021-08-06

There will be some scratches due to man-made or natural factors after the floor has been used for a long time. And these scratches will mainly affect the overall decorative effect. Scratches are also prone to appear during the grinding process. But these scratches can be avoided construction. The following are a few ways to prevent scratches on the floor.

1. Pay attention to cleaning the floor

It is recommended that after each step of grinding work is done, the floor should be cleaned up with a pumping machine to avoid subsequent scratches caused by residual diamond particles. At the same time, all areas of the grinder that are stained with slurry should be washed with water and cleaned up. This step of cleaning the floor and grinding machine must be operated after grinding with some specific meshes of diamond grinding discs.

2. Full coverage grinding

In order to ensure grinding process evenly and finely, without leaving dead corners, it is recommended to use full coverage grinding. Full coverage grinding is divided into two ways, one is crossing grinding more than 1/3, based on the width of the grinder, each time covering more than 1/3 of the last grinding area. The other is cross grinding three times, first grind it horizontally, and then grind it vertically. This is considered as a whole grind. Then continue with these steps to grind two more times.

3. Keep the construction site tidy

The situation is complicated during on-site construction. The phenomenon of cross construction abounds. All kinds of dust, mud, sand, cement, and gravel on the soles of the feet can cause accidental scratches on the floor. Especially during construction in the north, The wind and sand are relatively large, and the influence of this external factor is greater. Therefore, attention should be paid to cleaning up the dust at the construction site, and irrelevant personnel are prohibited from entering and exiting.

4. Use uniform grinding discs

When grinding, try to use the same manufacturer's grinding disc and the same machine since the products of different manufacturers may different which may cause scratches.

5. Timely inspection

After grinding, workers should check the floor in time to see if there are scratches, and solve the problem as soon as possible. If scratches suddenly appear when grinding a certain section, under normal circumstances, it can be judged that the grinding disc itself has coarser particles. Check the grinding disc at this time, and replace with a new grinding disc of corresponding grit to continue grinding.
