How to finish concrete edges
DTS easy edge ceramic polishing wheels are available in all practical necessary grits size for polishing right for coarse to fine high gloss finish. Different grits assist to attain a desired level of shine on hard surfaces. Use the extra coarse step only when you need to remove deep scratches and gouges, or any hard topical materials on the edges. In most cases, you can start with the coarse step.
To finish concrete edges, we recommend using our DTS easy edge ceramic polishing wheel. It can enhances the quality of edge work while minimizing the scrapes, scratches, smiles and grooves that metal cup wheels create. When using the polishing wheel, don’t apply any downward force to the angle grinder. Let the wheel do the grinding.
Edge polishing machines with our DTS easy edge ceramic polishing wheel will produce a flat edge no matter how inaccurate the initial cut is. Ideally, the piece will have been cut to size on an accurate panel saw with a true edge, as high-quality saw-cut edges produce the best results. If the lines are straight and the corners are square, the process is more efficient. If it’s not, multiple passes may be required.
