It is very important to keep the water or air channels open when you are wet grinding with a transition tool or resin pads.
If
the channels get clogged when you are grinding the floor, the built-up slurry
will result in an irregular scratch, which affect the result of the concrete
floor. Open the water channels will wash away some slurry and leave a clear
path for debris that follows.
But there is a problem, the building of debris in the water channel can affect the temperature, resulting in premature wear or improper performance. Therefore, please ensure that the tool maintains a proper temperature when open the water channels.
By the way, you should never run a dry-only pad wet.
In a word, for wet resin pads and wet-transfer tooling, it is crucial to keep the water and air channels open.
